Morgan Smith

Morgan Smith, who graduated from Columbia College and Mannes College of Music in the New York city's Columbia University, was a Seattle Opera Young Artist (1999-2000). In 2001, he was first seen in Billy Budd playing Donald. Smith, known as a Seattle fan, has been featured in more than 12 shows, including Don Giovanni in the title part, Silvio and I Pagliacci in I Pagliacci as well Riccardo of I Puritani. He also appeared as Peter Niles, in Mourning Then Alive. Regular at the concert stage Smith has also performed in several other productions. Smith made his Dallas Symphony debut with Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and debuted as a member of the San Antonio Symphony for the North American premiere of Vier Praludien and Ernste Gesange, Detlef Glanert's orchestral adaptation of the beloved piece by Brahms. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the Requiems composed by Brahms as well as Faure as well as Mozart The Masses composed in C Minor as well as G Minor written by Vaughan Williams, Bach's B Minor Mass and numerous Cantatas; the Handel's Messiah, L'Allegro il Penseroso and il Moderato, The Creation, Haydn's The Creation, Lord Nelson Mass and Haydn's The Creation are also included in the concert repertoire.
