Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Two of her sisters raised her, but she often faced bullying in school due to her large thighs. Graham was initially diagnosed as having A.D.H.D. shortly after her primary education. Graham was diagnosed as having attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (A.D.H.D.) soon after finishing the elementary school. Graham was spotted in Nebraska by a talent agent when she was just twelve years old. When she graduated in 2005, Lincoln Southwest High School she was featured in a variety of magazines as well as billboards. At the beginning of her modelling career, she had difficulty finding jobs because her body was quite unique. Graham was offered the chance to be featured as a catalog model for a number of years, however she was told she wouldn't get past straightforward tasks. In 2009, she was featured in "Glamour magazine"'s "These Bodies Can be Beautiful regardless of size" alongside Sally Singer. Then, making headlines again, Graham starred in a controversial Lane Bryant ad that was eventually banned in a number of countries. The commercial was viewed by more than 800,000 views before it was pulled from YouTube. The controversy grew unbearable and she spoke out in the "Tonight show" which was hosted by Jay Leno. Graham soon became famous and is today considered one of America's top super-sized models. Grande began performing and singing as a teenager. Her first appearance was a minor part in the Broadway's production of 13 in the year 2008. Then she was acting in different television shows. The year 2010 brought her big break when she got a role as a character in the Nickelodeon show Victorious. She played Cat Valentine, a teenager attending a performing arts school. Sam & Cat was the spin-off of her sitcom, which aired in 2013 after it was cancelled.
